FAVORITE QUOTES

“Care for the whole person.”
— Jesuit educational principle (cura personalis)

I am a lifelong athlete, mentor, and aspiring educator who is passionate about helping others grow through structure, encouragement, and positive relationships.

My athletic background began in competitive swimming and later transitioned into rowing, where I developed leadership skills as a team captain at St. Ignatius High School and continued competing at the Division I level at St. Joseph’s University. These experiences taught me the value of discipline, teamwork, accountability, and leading by example.

Beyond athletics, I am deeply committed to service and education. I am an Eagle Scout, an achievement that reflects years of dedication to leadership, responsibility, and serving others. I currently teach a confirmation class at my home parish and am studying to become a theology and history teacher, with the goal of earning a master’s degree in theology and working with students long term.

My experience fostering children has shaped my coaching philosophy more than anything else. Having fostered 32 children and gained my two brothers through the foster care system, I understand that every child comes from a different background and learns at a different pace. As a coach, I strive to create a friendly, energetic, and supportive environment where swimmers feel safe, valued, and motivated to grow.

For me, coaching is about more than performance — it is about helping young people build confidence, resilience, and a love for learning that carries into every area of life.
