ONE WORD THAT DESCRIBES ME
Charismatic.
FAVORITE STROKE
Butterfly. I love the stroke because it challenges every muscle in the body to think differently yet work in uniform to create artwork. It takes a lot of hard work, balance and strength and when applied together it’s beautiful.

FAVORITE QUOTES
“It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop”
— Confucius
I coach because swimming has the power to teach young athletes confidence, discipline, and resilience — both in and out of the pool.
My philosophy focuses on long-term development by emphasizing fundamentals, effort, and positive habits over immediate results. I strive to create a supportive and fun environment where swimmers feel safe to learn, make mistakes, and challenge themselves.
Every athlete is different. I work to meet each swimmer where they are, helping them build confidence, responsibility, and a genuine love for the sport. My goal is to help young swimmers grow not only as athletes, but as people who believe in themselves and enjoy the process of improvement.
Coaching Background
I was mentored by and coached alongside Bill Schalz with the Academy Bullets and through his Swim with Bill program in Illinois for several years.
Bill serves in leadership roles with Illinois Swimming, has contributed to USA Swimming committees, and frequently presents at coaching clinics on athlete development, stroke technique, and program building. My time working with him helped shape my approach to technical development, program design, and long-term athlete growth.
